Six Textiles, Three Artists and One Unmistakable Festival Symbol

The Locarno Film Festival x ZigZagZurich collaboration brings the Pardo into daily life through six objects by Christoffer Jørgensen, Jody Barton and Michele Rondelli. Two 50 × 50 cm cashmere-blend cushions turn leopard spots into graphic accents. Dotty Leopard moves across an organic-cotton bandana, a 140 × 160 cm recycled-cotton jacquard blanket and a 100 × 180 cm cotton terry towel. Aura expands the symbol across a reversible 140 × 200 cm New Zealand wool blanket.

One Pardo, Three Artistic Visions

Jørgensen reduces the leopard to bold spots across Pardo Spot One and Pardo Spot Two. Barton gives Dotty Leopard a playful, mobile life across a bandana, cotton blanket and XL towel. Rondelli turns Aura into the collection’s most enveloping interior statement. Their work shares one symbol without forcing one style: abstraction, humour and atmosphere remain distinct, while textile scale and touch make every interpretation useful in a different way.

Materials Change the Motif

Fibre and construction change how the artwork feels and moves. The cushions combine merino wool, viscose and cashmere; the bandana uses printed organic cotton made in Italy; Dotty Leopard becomes recycled-cotton jacquard and yarn-dyed terry; Aura is jacquard woven in New Zealand wool. The blanket and towel designs include intentional reverse faces. Care remains product-specific, from a gentle cotton cycle to a wool program or cold hand wash, so the sewn label should always guide cleaning.

How to Style a Collection with Character

Let one piece lead. Use a Pardo Spot cushion as a focused accent, or pair the two related designs while keeping the surrounding upholstery quiet. For a larger field of colour, place Dotty Leopard or Aura in a broad fold so the artwork remains readable; turn a reversible design to shift the colour balance. The bandana and XL towel carry the collaboration beyond the living room, while the cotton blanket moves easily between sofa, bed and reading chair.
